New Delhi: In view of the increasing car demand in India, car companies are launching new cars. At the same time, updated versions of some cars are also being brought out. In this episode, Hyundai has revealed the interior and exterior design of its flagship sedan car Grandeur. It is also known as azera in markets outside South Korea. The new generation sedan differs slightly in styling from the previous generation car. Hyundai is yet to reveal the technical specifications of the Grandeur sedan. Let us know what will be special in Grandeur.
Front of Grandeur similar to Staria MPV
The front of the Grandeur looks similar to the Staria MPV that was unveiled in 2021. This includes a full width LED DRL light bar and a full length horizontal grille, which surrounds the main headlight cluster. In profile, it gives a clean look with flush door handles, minimal cuts and creases. It also gets a different type of quarter glass like the original 1986 Grandeur.

Like the exterior, a lot will be seen on the interiors of the Grandeur. It has a dual-screen set-up on the dashboard. There is a display on the center console to control the climate settings. It also gets a three-spoke steering wheel, the design of which is taken from the original model. When it comes to cabin layout and feel, Hyundai is quite ahead in this car. The upright roofline includes free headroom feel for the rear passenger.

The steering is inspired by the first-gen model with a single-spoke design. This includes a single-pane digital driver display and an infotainment system at the rear. Wood, aluminum and naturally dyed Napa leather have been used, adding to the luxury elegance of the cabin of the sedan. The previous model had both petrol and diesel engine options and it is likely that the new Grandeur will have multiple powertrains to choose from, including a plug-in hybrid. More details about the car’s powertrain will be revealed in the coming weeks ahead of a possible global launch in early 2023.
