Mercedes-Benz electric EQB: Mercedes-Benz Electric EQB is scheduled to be launched on December 2. This is Mercedes-Benz India’s first seven-seater luxury EV car. However, this is Mercedes-Benz’s third EV launch this year. Earlier AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ and EQS 580 4MATIC have arrived.
According to the company, this is the first time it is going to launch its luxury EV with its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. Along with the Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV, the brand will also launch the GLB on the same date. The company believes that this will strengthen its SUV product portfolio along with its commitment to India.
The GLB SUV is touted as the ‘Mini GLS’ and will be the company’s second seven-seater SUV after the GLS. Mercedes-Benz India has also opened bookings for both the EQB and the GLB. Customers can book these SUVs online by visiting the official website of the brand or their nearest dealership. These SUVs can be booked for a token amount of ₹1.5 lakh.

The estimated price of Mercedes-Benz electric EQB is around 55 lakhs. It has convenient seating for tall people. Navigation will be available with Electric Intelligence. It gets 64-colour cabin lighting, backlit dash trim. There are aerodynamic lines on the outer surface of the car. Which gives it more control in moving. The car will get onboard virtual voice assistant, MBUX artificial intelligence. There will be front and rear electric motors making 225 hp in the EQB 300 and 288 hp in the EQB 350. Instant torque and fast, smooth response will come with all-wheel drive.

While the EQB will strengthen Mercedes’ electric roadmap in the country, the GLB will strengthen its SUV portfolio. With these launches the company aims to offer its customers with a range of drivetrain and product options. The Mercedes-Benz GLB with its versatile and dynamic style will come with the SUV features of the brand. The vehicle is made for Young India. Upon its launch, Mercedes-Benz will have the largest SUV portfolio in the luxury automotive segment in India. Its other SUVs range from the GLA to the G-Class.
