Indian Notes Printing Cost: Do you know how much it costs to print Indian notes? Through an RTI, an attempt was made to find out how much it costs to print different currency notes.
This information came out
The Government of India spends Rs 4.18 on every Rs 2,000 note. The cost of printing each Rs 500 note is Rs 2.57 and for Rs 100 note it is Rs 1.51.
Whereas each Rs 10 note costs Rs 1.01 by the government. Interestingly, the cost of printing a 20 rupee note is 1 paisa cheaper than a 10 rupee note.
At the same time, an attempt was also made to find out the difference between the cost of printing the old currency notes and the new notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000. RTI revealed that it took Rs 3.09 to print the old Rs 500 note, i.e. the new Rs 500 note is 52 paise cheaper than the old Rs 500 note.
At the same time, a note of Rs 1,000 was printed at a price of Rs 3.54. Thus, the printing of a new Rs 2,000 note costs 64 paise more than the printing of a Rs 1,000 note.
Explain that Indian currency notes are printed only on the instructions of the Government of India and Reserve Bank of India. Their printing is done only in government printing press. There are only four government printing presses in the country where these notes are printed. The names of these places are Nashik, Dewas, Mysore and Salboni. Here is the printing press. This is where the printing work of notes takes place.
